The official tour guide for the State of Mississippi is published by MTA. Copies are distributed through the statewide network of Welcome Centers, plus all inquiries received by the State from advertising and through the Internet. Visit mississippitourguide.com for more information!

Government Representation

MTA tracks and monitors proposed laws and regulations affecting our members. Our objective is to increase advertising and marketing funds for Visit Mississippi in addition to supporting legislation that advances the tourism industry and opposing legislation that is not beneficial to tourism in Mississippi. MTA also hosts a legislative reception at the beginning of each new legislative session for all legislators and tourism industry partners. mtalegislativeday.com

Educational Workshops and Seminars

Governor’s Conference on Tourism

MTA produces the Governor’s Conference on Tourism each year and brings together tourism professionals from all sections of the State. As a member of MTA you get a front row seat as the hospitality industry gathers for an exciting, fun experience. mtagovernorsconference.com

Heart of Hospitality

MTA’s hospitality training program established to empower tourism professionals with the tools they need to create meaningful, positive experiences for guests in our state. The program consists of seven online video sessions covering a wide range of topics like listening and communication skills, connecting with guests, and positive impact on the visitor. Upon completion of this four-course program, members will earn the designation of “Certified Hospitality Expert.”
